Welcome to 2026!
We are excited for this year and in awe of how 2025 ended. ‘Thank you’ never seems to truly express our gratitude but we say ‘THANK YOU’ to all who supported us. The Lord has been good to us, He is faithful!!!
Here is a quick round up of 2025, where YOU made a difference by believing in us.
So many people were touched – from the homeless and addicted, to families, individuals, children and the elderly.
We continued to supply Food Parcels throughout Edenvale, Kensington, Tembisa and Wychwood areas. These parcels are received with grateful hearts giving dignity, joy and meeting vital daily needs.
Some of the food we distributed was collected at our quarterly Saturday morning food drives. A SHOUT OUT to Green Valley Checkers and Karaglen Spar for hosting us AND of course the very generous shoppers who put items in our trolley’s…. we salute you!

The Hillbrow team visit over 100 homeless people once a month and we are blessed to be able to assist them with shirts, beanies, blankets, toiletries, meals, fruit and cold drinks, snack packs, medical items. It is such a blessing to see the team pour out love and compassion to those in such dire need.

Our Winter drive was a big success. We were blessed and grateful to receive donations such as beanies, blankets, jars of hope, homemade soup. We were also able to distribute baby blankets, jersey’s and clothes to keep those in need warm over the winter months.

In June we celebrated our 1st BIRTHDAY with a fundraiser at SPUR Greenstone. It felt like the coldest night of the year, but our hearts were warm! What a wonderful fun evening. Thank you one and all who came out and enjoyed the evening with us.

On Mandela Day (18 July) 37 Elderly folk from a care facility in Primrose were blessed with a high tea and gift bag. What a lovely morning serving the gems in our community and seeing their faces light up with happiness. It is indeed better to give than to receive.

On Woman’s Day, we focussed on Gender-based violence victims. It was incredibly rewarding and, thanks to generous sponsorship, we gave out 127 dignity packs. These were for ladies in safe houses and those coming to police stations looking for help. Unfortunately, this abuse is on the increase and most victims do not report their attack. This will be an ongoing project into and throughout 2026.

Our elderly in Wychwood receive food parcels, tea parties, and Christmas hampers and a Christmas party each year. 2026 will be our 4th year of building into their lives. We ended at our Christmas party with Jenny giving a very encouraging word of God being a ‘strong tower to run into’

To help disadvantaged children celebrate Christmas, we arranged for Santa to visit Our ‘adopted’ creche in Tembisa and distribeted gifts. What a lovely morning we all had … to bring joy to children is always a blessing!
Children and their EDUCATION are the future. We are invested in helping to feed children in various schools and creches. How can anyone learn on an empty tummy??
Stationery and school shoes are necessities too. Thank you to all who have donated and supported our school outreaches. We are running an ongoing drive to keep girls in school by collecting sanitary towels for a high school in our area.

Your continued support would be most appreciated in 2026 (tax year ending Feb 2027 for section 18A certificates)
